When we are dealing with difficult circumstances, it can be challenging to recalibrate on our own and therapy can provide that space to sort out our feelings, thoughts and behaviours and offer the clarity that helps us see a path forward. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with College of Psychotherapists of Ontario in good standing, certified member of Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals with close to thirty years of psychotherapy experience, and I can help. I adopt a strength based, solution focused approach and seek to empower clients to thrive in their everyday life. My clinical skills include trauma, depression, anxiety, addictions, self-harm, child sexual abuse and historical abuse survivors, relationship issues and workplace issues (harassment/violence), burnout, conflict, grief, racism, self-esteem, mid-life transitional issues and other psychosocial issues. I am trained in several evidence-based interventions including CBT, CPT, DBT, narrative therapy,, etc., but I take a more holistic, need based approach that is culturally appropriate, and client centered and eclectic. I work with adults, individuals and couples and speak Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
