Who am I, who are you, and who are we?

Identifying, establishing, and fostering connection, creativity, and curiosity within the Supervisory Relationship: A framework for the supervisee.

For students and supervisees, the supervisory relationship can be a tremendous help – or hinderance – toward professional success. This session, framed by the Internal Family Systems model, will support students / supervisees as they explore and identify considerations for securing effective supervisory relationship.

Attendees will learn how to identify, establish, and build supervisory relationships that foster connectedness and creativity in pursuit of fostering professional curiosity and limiting fear(s) associated with being professionally vulnerable.

Relational Dynamics in Supervision

This workshop focuses on the ways in which supervisors relate to supervisees.  Recognize that supervision is a gate keeping role and the relationships that we have with supervisee strickles down into our supervisees' relationships with their clients.

The workshop is experiential, with time for discussion and sharing of experiences. It is divided into three main topics: safe and effective use of self, modelling boundaries, and mentoring.

We explore concrete strategies to address each of these topics and focus on validation and processing to help elucidate tangible methods to bring these skills into your practice.

Networking session

This session is intended for current practicum students, new therapists’ post-graduation, experienced therapists and supervisors.

Supervisors and supervisees might have preferences (or not yet!) for how they prefer and benefit most from their supervision time.

We will review different strategies we might make in choosing our supervisor or supervisee, and try on a few different hats experientially to see if a fresh perspective is helpful.
