November 18 | OAMHP Symposium 2026. A day of learning, connection and community. Limited in-person spaces remain. Register Now →
When a supervisee hands in a polished, AI-generated formulation, the paper looks finished but the learning hasn’t happened.
This one-hour workshop draws on current research in counselling and psychotherapy supervision to examine the clinical capacities that erode when AI does a supervisee’s thinking. It also shows how supervisors can design AI tasks that deepen student learning instead.
Participants will learn to ask questions that reveal whose thinking is on the page and a four-step way to respond when they suspect AI use. They will also leave with a sample AI-use agreement for supervisees that builds in CRPO transparency, consent and documentation requirements.
