AI in Practice: Client Use - Feb 18, 2027

Program Information

More and more clients arrive with AI-generated diagnoses, chatbot “companions,” and advice they have already acted on. In this three-hour workshop, participants will learn the CARE-AI Framework: Clinical Assessment and Response to Engagement with AI. It is a four-step process for exploring client AI use: Ask & Assess, Review & Risk, Collaborate & Conceptualize, and Decide & Document.

Using detailed case vignettes, scripted openers and small-group case work, attendees will practice four things:

  • Recognizing crisis reliance, misinformation, psychological dependence and reassurance-seeking loops
  • Treating a client’s AI use as clinical material
  • Choosing between affirming, guiding, or suggesting the client limit, reduce, or change their AI use
  • Documenting in line with CRPO standards

Registration will be open until February 17, 2027
