Hello and welcome! My name is Sharzie, and I am a Counsellor (supervised) at Positive Mind Wellness. I work with young adults and adults who are navigating a variety of challenges, including grief, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and life transitions. I hold an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from the University of Ottawa, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Algonquin College. I’m a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. My approach to counselling is grounded in empathy, collaboration and respect. I draw on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness strategies. Together, we can focus on your unique needs and goals, creating a safe and inclusive space where growth and healing can happen.
