About

I have an educational background with a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care and a masters in Counselling Psychology. I am currently a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapy (CRPO). I am an experienced Teaching Assistant with a demonstrated history of working in primary and secondary education, working with students with and without special needs. I have educational training in; Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training-ASIST, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mental Health First Aid for Adults Interacting with Youth, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI), and Prepare-Enrich Premarital Counselling. I hope to help clients realize that prevention is better than cure, and I wish to instill hope in clients, teaching them to advocate for themselves, and teaching them strategies so they can develop a toolkit for themselves that will help them to accept and tolerate difficult circumstances outside of therapy.
