Our work together will likely include examining your emotions, thoughts, and past struggles. I particularly enjoy "connecting the dots" to help you better understand why you are feeling the way you are now. We will also look at ways to help you better cope with strong emotions and relentless thoughts. I work from an integrative and collaborative approach, meaning that I want to work with you to examine which techniques work best and fit your style of learning and practicality. I also categorize my approach as anti-oppressive and inter-sectional, meaning that I am aware of how the unique identities you carry effect your mental health through encounters of systemic oppression, microaggressions, stigmatization, and direct abuse/assault. I completed my BA and MA at in Psychology Carleton University, and recently completed my MEd in Counselling & Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto. My background includes 2 years of experience in crisis counselling and one year in private practice.
