Mona is a South Asian therapist, passionate about working with youth 6+, helping them find their way as they navigate their challenges She also works with adults finding their place within themselves and their communities while balancing the values and beliefs they were raised with and the ones they are exposed to, creating a place for hope and change. Mona believes that counselling is a collaborative process where the client is the expert in their own lives. Her empathic and understanding approach creates an environment of safety, trust and respect. Mona’s integrated approach helps her use various techniques to find the most suitable option for her clients. She integrates humanistic, solution-focused, IPT, narrative, and CBT approaches to her client counselling journey. Mona views each client as a unique individual who needs to be understood from their lens. Her experience in health care for over a decade strengthens her counselling approach grounded in creating strong alliances, and she is passionate about client advocacy. Mona is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO and sees clients virtually and in person.
