I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and I have a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy. Whether people are seeking to change their thoughts, their feelings, or their behaviour, I believe they can find what they need in therapy. In my experience, the most common reason people come to therapy is a desire for change. While I promote growth, I also recognize the significant impact that relationships, life circumstances, self-concept, lifestyle, biology, and past experiences all have on the change process and I am committed to attending to these elements throughout the course of therapy. I respect my clients as the experts in their own lives and I work to establish a collaborative therapeutic relationship, wholly focused on their individual goals and needs. My theoretical approach to counselling is integrative and at its core, client and strength focused. I use a combination of evidence based treatments to shape my practice and I tailor interventions to each client. I take a harm reduction approach to counselling and prioritize warmth, acceptance, growth, and empowerment in my practice.
