About

I have spent my adult life engaged in the pursuit of art making and in supporting individuals who have experienced violence and power imbalance. I have worked in the Intimate Partner Violence sector for over twenty-three years. I have extensive experience and training in counselling/individual support, crisis intervention, risk assessment, group and program development, advocacy, group facilitation, teaching/training and legal/social justice work. I am an effective facilitator and someone whose aptitudes lie in supporting others in discovering and recovering their strength. Exploring the theme of belonging has been central to my life. This exploration has led to the cornerstone of my belief, which is that we must belong to ourselves as much as we belong to others. In therapy, we have the chance to meet ourselves! Creating a sense of safety and non-judgment in order that inner thoughts, feelings and experiences can be fully expressed is what I consider the deepest aspect of my work.
