Lucy Burton (she/her) is a Certified Child Life Specialist dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families through challenging moments. She believes every child deserves a safe space to explore emotions, build resilience, and grow through play and creativity. She has extensive experience working with children and youth in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings, including SickKids and McMaster Children’s Hospital. Specializing in child and youth development, Lucy provides developmentally appropriate interventions, including therapeutic play, medical play, expressive arts, and psychoeducation, to help children cope with medical trauma, illness, anxiety, grief, and major life transitions. She prioritizes building strong relationships and working with families to ensure holistic, family-centered care. ​Lucy’s approach is compassionate and collaborative, creating a trusting environment where children can gain coping skills and emotional literacy to feel supported and empowered. Lucy holds a Master of Science in Child Life & Pediatric Psychosocial Care from McMaster University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Autism and Behavioural Science from George Brown College,
