About

Hi, I'm Kim! I typically support adults struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, dissociative symptoms, first responders, and veterans. My aim is to help clients through their transition towards understanding, clarity, self-acceptance, and growth without the fear of judgment. I am a Master’s level Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with undergraduate studies specialized in psychology. I am also a Registered Nurse specialized in mental health. I am in good standing with both the CRPO and the CNO. Approaches I find to be the most effective and have sought out additional training in are EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). As a former police officer and registered nurse in emergency psychiatry, I have both lived and professional experience in recovery from chronic workplace trauma exposure, understand unique challenges faced in these high-stress roles, awareness of first responder culture, and their sometimes painful family legacies. I provide an individualized approach adapted based on each individual’s unique needs. My therapeutic style is easy going and collaborative.
