About

I have 36 years of experience as a feminist therapist specializing in issues related to women. I was trained in California in the 80s in Somatic Psychology and much of my doctoral course work focussed on feminist organizing, community development and the psychology of womens' development. I am also a Gestalt trained therapist. In 2007-8 I sat on the Board of Directors of the Gestalt Institute of Toronto Alumni. I have been training in Aikido (a Japanese martial art) for 31 years and taught at Aikido Tendokai and Naka Ima Aikikai in Toronto. Currently I am the chief instructor, and Shidoin, of Sandokai Community aikido and hold the rank of 5th dan. I am a registered psychotherapist with CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario). I have been a member of the ICRC committee of CRPO since June 2015 and am also the Chair of the Committee. In 2019 I was elected to the CRPO Council. More recently I was elected to the CRPO Executive Committee as a professional member. I have OAMHP Certified Supervisor designation.
