I have almost a decade of experience serving individual adults (age 18 and over) experiencing stress, anxiety, self-criticism, anger, sleep disturbance, chronic pain and disability, difficult transitions or relationships, and other challenges. I support clients in changing how they relate to themselves and their experiences; modifying unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving; increasing their understanding of their emotions; and cultivating skills to improve mental health. I use an integrative approach to tailor therapy to individuals’ unique needs and goals. I help clients find self-compassion and inner peace in the present moment while facing hardships. I value culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, accessible therapy; and I endeavour to bring empathy, authenticity, insight, and calm into the therapy room and clients’ lives. I have a Masters in Counselling Psychology (Counselling ad Psychotherapy) from the University of Toronto, and an Hons. BA in Psychology form York University. I have additional training and certification in various therapy modalities. I am also a mindful meditating teacher and facilitate mindful meditation groups.
