Diane H. Aiken is a Registered Psychotherapist who provides individual and couples counselling. She is also a certified Imago couple’s counsellor. Recently relocated to Midland from Toronto, she holds a Masters in Counselling Psychology form OISE/University of Toronto as well as amassing ten years of research in the area of trauma and wellness at the University of Wales. She previously worked for Sherbourne Health Centre for over thirteen years as well as for Saint Michael's Hospital before that, amassing over twenty years of service in mental health. Using clinically tested and evidenced-based interventions, she has worked with countless couples and individuals since 1999 in her Toronto based private practice. She is trained in Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solutions Focused Therapy with a strong focus on psychoeducation. Here experience includes working with marginalization, diversity and LGBTTQ issues, grief, anxiety and depression, among other challenges. She was a weekly featured guest of the Flo 93.5 radio and appeared on Television programs such as CTVs Canada AM. Her greatest reward as a therapist is helping clients explore ways to be empowered individuals..
