My work with individuals and families began over twenty-five years ago. I have a Master of Divinity degree from Tyndale Seminary, Toronto, where I majored in Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy. In addition to being a therapist, I am also a certified teacher in Ontario with a Specialist in Special Education. As a professional counsellor I have helped people with: loss and grief, couple conflict and communication, stress management, mood and anxiety disorders, parenting, family dynamics, trauma and abuse, life transitions, and self-esteem. An area of interest is working with families who have children with developmental differences., My own story of personal growth and healing has instilled within me a deep compassion for those who are struggling. I use a non-judgmental and goal-oriented approach, combined with empathy and a sense of humour, which offers my clients a refreshing perspective on difficult issues., I have experience in both long term and brief therapy models.
