My work with individuals and families began over twenty-five years ago. I have a Master of Divinity degree from Tyndale Seminary, Toronto, where I majored in Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy. In addition to being a therapist, I am also a certified teacher in Ontario with a Specialist in Special Education. As a professional counsellor I have helped people with: loss and grief, couple conflict and communication, stress management, mood and anxiety disorders, parenting, family dynamics, trauma and abuse, life transitions, and self-esteem. An area of interest is working with families who have children with developmental differences., My own story of personal growth and healing has instilled within me a deep compassion for those who are struggling. I use a non-judgmental and goal-oriented approach, combined with empathy and a sense of humour, which offers my clients a refreshing perspective on difficult issues., I have experience in both long term and brief therapy models. My extensive knowledge of health and wellness supports and community resources provides my clients with an integrative approach to growth and change.
