About

Male-Friendly Counselling is what I do. And if you're a guy who doesn't really talk to anyone about whatever it is that you probably should talk to someone about, this site, and this office is for you. The whole approach was designed for you - and if you feel that something fits particularly well, or doesn't fit very well at all, please let me know. So, what is "Male-Friendly" Counselling? It is an approach looks at men as a culture within the culture. It recognizes that not all guys are the same and that what it means to be a man is also not the same for every man. It also recognizes however, that one's sense of self and way of being in the world (i.e. masculinity) are important parts of understanding what's going on and where (and how) to go from there. Male-Friendly also means that you will spend time looking at your strengths and coming up with your own solutions. Generally, guys like to solve problems. I have a Master of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool and am now pursuing a second Masters in Psychology. An understanding of how the mind, body, and relationships influence one another is part of what I bring to our conversations.
