I have extensive experience working in the area of mental health with an expertise in the areas of trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, and lifestyle factors that affect mental health., , I work in supervised Private Practice providing counselling to adult individuals. My approach is from an evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) perspective which focuses on changing a persons thoughts to change how they feel and behave. CBT is collaborative so we will work together as a team to identify and help you achieve your goals. I also believe in a holistic perspective that focuses on the whole person along with incorporating humor, mindfulness practice, compassion focused therapy, and positive psychology., , I am also an animal lover and enjoy being active with horseback riding, running, weight lifting, and walking my two greyhounds who are often present during my therapy sessions.
