Alexandra (Alley) received her post-graduate certificate in Autism Behaviour Science, Masters in Counselling Psychology (thesis topic: Function-Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for youth with ASD) and completed additional graduate-level coursework in Applied Behaviour Analysis through the University of Arizona. Alley has experience conducting and supervising Intensive Behavioural Intervention, Function-Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (fb-CBT), educational programming, social-emotional development, development of theory of mind, Mindfulness, and Play Based Therapy. Alley supports parents and front line professionals in workshops, individual consultations, and through her contributions to the Science Drives Wellness Steers blog and podcast. Alley works in direct service (doing therapy) and supervision (overseeing therapy) as well as working with community agencies to foster best-practices in supporting mental health through a behavioural lens; she has experience developing curriculum documents and teaching children and adults.
