About Professional Development

At OAMHP, we are here to help you grow as a professional while supporting your commitment to providing exceptional care. Our members are dedicated to practicing responsibly, drawing on their education, training, and experience to serve their clients with confidence and integrity.

That’s why we offer a range of professional development opportunities to meet the diverse needs of mental health professionals. Whether you’re exploring new concepts in a one-hour webinar or diving deep into a multi-day certification training, our programs are designed to help you stay current and inspired in your practice.

Our professional development program is designed with you in mind:

  • Enhancing personal competency: Sharpen your skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care for your clients.
  • Building practice capacity: Learn how to effectively manage and grow your small business.
  • Upholding professional standards: Stay aligned with the latest standards in service delivery.
  • Exploring niche markets: Expand your expertise in specialized areas of mental health care.

Beyond education, we’re building a thriving professional community:

  • Connect with fellow members and foster a supportive network.
  • Share your expertise and learn from the experiences of others.
  • Integrate OAMHP professional development into your learning plans while meeting regulatory requirements.

About Continuing Education Credits (CECs)

Many of the professional development events offered through the OAMHP qualify for continuing education credits.

OAMHP allows other training and professional development organizations and individuals to apply to have their professional development activities reviewed by OAMHP for relevance to our members.

By granting approval, OAMHP recognizes that these activities promote the development of participants in specifically identified mental health professions.

How to find your CEC credits

If you have attended an OAMHP workshop and are looking for your CEC Certificate, please log-in to your Member’s Portal and click “CEC” under “My OAMHP Community”.
