Joanne Jouvin, MA, RP Registered Psychotherapist | Child, Youth & Family Specialist | EFST Facilitator & Co-Developer of EFST-Y Joanne is a Registered Psychotherapist who supports children, adolescents, caregivers, and families using a humanistic, client-centered, and attachment-based approach. She believes emotional connection and safety are essential to healing and growth. Trained by Dr. Joanne Dolhanty since 2017, Joanne has facilitated Emotion-Focused Skills Training (EFST) workshops for parents and caregivers since 2019. She works with issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, externalizing behaviours, and emotional overwhelm, with a focus on relational trauma, shame, and self-criticism. Joanne co-developed Emotion-Focused Skills Training for Youth (EFST-Y) to bring emotion-focused tools directly to teens. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practices that integrate emotion and attachment science. She holds a Master’s in Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BSc in Psychology from York University. Joanne is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.
