I've been helping individuals, couples and families in a professional capacity for over 20 yrs and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the therapeutic encounter. I have a B.A. and B.Sc. from the University of Toronto and a Master's degree in Psychology from Adler University - Chicago. My approach to Psychotherapy is integrative as I draw on a number of psychological traditions from the psychoanalytic and humanistic schools. I also incorporate mindfulness based techniques, progressive relaxation exercises, narrative therapy interventions, 2 chair techniques, role plays, guided meditations, C-B-T exercises, and graduated exposure exercises. In addition to individual psychotherapy I provide counselling to families and couples using a systems approach (Adler, Gottman). For over 15 years I've been leading weekly anger management groups in Scarborough and East York. I share my practice with a psychologist and clinical social worker. I am registered with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario and hold memberships with: NASAP, CAPT and the Canadian association of Marriage and family therapists.
