Along with a Master's degree in Social Rehabilitation, I have completed 3 years of training in total in Advanced Crisis Intervention and Counselling and Mental Health Psychosocial Rehabilitation (Certificate). I believe it is crucial to keep my knowledge and skills up-to-date, so I regularly attend trainings and workshops on topics related to counselling and psychotherapy. I am a general member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. I have many years of experience working in private practice and community organizations. My practice is focused on cultivating self-awareness, empowerment, self-esteem and balance. I find it important that my clients learn to understand their choices, feelings, needs and patterns. I also help them gain the tools to help move towards their goals. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques into my work with clients. This includes developing a solution-focused plan, strength based problem solving, and effective life skills that help make changes in their lives and navigate the path to healing.
