Susan Packer, B.A.Sc. Family Studies, B.Ed., MDiv Counselling, Susan has a Masters of Divinity degree in Counselling from Tyndale University & Seminary in Toronto. She specializes in individual, family and couple counselling. Susan’s Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Guelph provided training in psychology, sociology, human development, physiology, nutrition, communication and family systems. As an educator in Durham Region Susan worked with children and families promoting problem solving techniques and conflict management. Susan has also had the opportunity to prepare and present various workshops for women where she introduced Narrative Theory and utilized Family Systems Theory & Cognitive Behavioural Theory to assist people with life transitions. Susan collaborated with her husband Jeff on the developed a manual and a full day couples retreat. Together with other members of their team Susan presents a variety of evening workshops on topics including parenting, anxiety & depression solutions, effective emotional expression.
