I use EMDR, Relational Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and attachment theory to bring about internal changes in how you feel toward yourself, your relationships, and your past experiences. When appropriate, I also draw on approaches like CBT, DBT, and ACT to help create behavioural changes and break unhelpful habits. Therapy can be a powerful agent of change when we work collaboratively to increase your self-awareness, insight, and self-compassion. When you understand yourself more fully and start to direct patience and kindness inwards, healing naturally follows and lifestyle changes become easier to carry out. I have several years of experience working with adults (18+) who've experienced trauma, including childhood abuse and neglect. I've also worked in post-secondary settings, helping students overcome the unique challenges they face. In addition, I have years of experience supporting queer and trans folks through issues such as coming out, transitioning, self-acceptance, and resiliency-building.
