My therapeutic orientation integrates aspects of the client-centred, psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and cognitive behavioural approaches to therapy. I tailor my approach to the unique needs of each client, and strive to create a collaborative, non-judgemental environment in which clients can feel understood, respected, and empowered as they work toward their goals., , I am experienced in helping clients to manage a variety of issues, including:, - Depression and anxiety;, - Self-confidence and self-esteem issues;, - Social skills deficits;, - Difficulties with assertiveness;, - Interpersonal relationship challenges;, - Adjustment, transitions, and life decisions;, - Grief and loss., , My education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria, and a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. I have two years of experience providing counselling services to adolescents and adults in university settings, and I am trained in the provision of group therapy, career counselling, and assessments. I currently practice under the supervision of Jamie Brooks, C. Psych. Assoc., at Westboro Psychology.
